Synopsis
“Angels of the Sun” counts the saga of the girl Maria, of 12 years, that, in the 2002 summer, was sold by the family, in the Brazilian northeast interior, to a recruiter of prostitutes. After being bought in an auction of virgin girls, Maria is sent for a brothel located in a small city, neighbor to one pans, in the Amazonian forest. After months suffering abuses with other girls, Maria runs away and crosses Brazil in the hitchhiking of trucks. When arriving at its new destination, Rio de Janeiro, prostitution is placed again in her way and its attitudes, front to the new challenges, becomes unexpected and surprising.
