DIAMOND is about the impacts of a film on a city. Our object is DIAMANTE BRUTO, film made in 1977 in the town Lençóis, Chapada Diamantina, in the State of Bahia, ruined by the collapse of diamond prospecting, its sole economic activity. After the release of the film, this decadent city descovered a new economic vocation: the ecological tourism. After 25 years, the city – now transformed – still remembers that film made with the participation of all the comunity members. For this new reality which brings new serious issues, other film, other questions and the same people.
