In a small isolated town swept by torrential rains, the inhabitants live not only in misery, but also under merciless political repression. A war for power rages between the family holding economic control over the region and the strongman sent over by the central government. To make things worse, anonymous messages are posted on doors, exposing scandalous details of private lives.
In the midst of this chaos, passion, betrayal and revenge come out into the open, and nobody can distinguish anymore between truth and lies.
Based on the Gabriel García Márquez novel La Mala Hora, the film tells a tale of love and hatred where past and future become blurred.
